The duo couldn’t be any further apart. Even with their physical differences one couldn’t have suspected to be in the company of two complete opposites. Amy, who was still new to the thrilling world of giant cats and their pleasurable characters, had not entirely heeded the warning of Osiris’ owner upon agreeing to take him for a few outings. The cattery had their hands full, and the young woman had been more than willing to help out for the sake of experience. A wandering mind recalls the conversation, crystal within busy intellect, how had she failed to take it seriously?

“Only if you’re sure,” Emma had confirmed, apparently wary of the situation; though it was something Amy seemed partially oblivious to, at least in the state of being eager to help. “Seriously, it’s fine!” she leans backwards, glancing past the door at the seemingly docile Osiris gnawing on the remainder of a fish bone. “I’d be more than happy to help, it will be good for Balen to have some company anyhow,” plump cheeks crease upwards, jovial. Emma holds her stare for a moment longer, doubtful, “Well, he needs some stimulation. But I would suggest taking his muzzle with him, I’ll get it for you.” Before Amy can protest the slightly elder woman disappears around the corner, returning to shove a wire muzzle at her new acquaintance, “You’ll probably need it.”

With a momentary glance cast to where Balendin waited patiently, Amy follows Emma outdoors and towards the handsome, black Shedu, quite content to be in the presence of a beast surely as appealing as her own best pal. “Honestly, you have my number so if anything happens don’t hesitate to call,” Amy almost entirely disregards her associates’ caution, assuming her only polite and caring – and not half as serious as Emma truly was. Thankfully the slim Ramses-son had finished his snack by the time the duo approached to halter him ( if he hadn’t, Amy surely would have woken to reality much earlier), and he is ‘caught’ with little fuss.

Unfortunately for the Shedu new-comer, she wasn’t made aware of the reason for Emma’s caution until she had passed the gates with both cats in tow. What seemed to be going splendidly, suddenly exploded into a boom of rumbling throats and curled lips; the two males rapidly becoming involved in a rather serious brawl. It was obvious Balendin had been on the defensive side, and though he wasn’t so shy as to flee from such an assault, it certainly wasn’t in his nature to start one. Amy gasps, unprepared, arms flapping in a rather dramatic demand, “Balen! Stop! NO!” Thankfully the obedient Shedu’s retreat was enough to end the disagreement before any real damage had been dealt.

Needless to say Osiris’ muzzle was quickly fitted, and Balendin was firmly instructed to keep his distance. The Ramses descendant only further advertised his difficulty on the way to the beach, however was set free on arrival, after seemingly to have calmed down somewhat. Though he found the water really rather… offensive, the impressive cat seemed otherwise content to cleanse himself of the salty dampness ( and found an unexpected, enjoyable taste alongside ). Meanwhile, Balendin ( having had learnt to keep his distance from Osiris ) frolicked ardently amidst the waves, seemingly more slobbering dog than Shedu.
