Description One of my sculptures for my AP 3-D Design class, the objective of this one was to simply take a book and make a sculpture.

Most people folded the pages and choose to make a 3-d shape from the book (it's quite possible, look it up.) I wanted to something more along the lines of making the contents of the book come out from the book.

Ironically enough, the contents of this book had nothing to do with irises, water, or fishes.

Very few outside materials were used for this. With the exception of the metal wire core for the flower stem, the cotton for the flower center and the tissue paper for the fish scales, everything else was made from the pages of the book.

Took a good 20 hours to make since the frames were so damn hard to cut, not to mention the origami fishes....
not doing those again...
============================
I am selling this sculpture (just not now since I still don't have my paypal up)

note me or email me (faraway.castle@yahoo.com) if you're interested.
============================
14" wide, 12" tall, 6" depth (there is a stand behind it)
[these are just rough estimations]
