I'd actually be interested in seeing what Jazz was like in his mob days, if it's much different from the Jazz we know. Just a little background on him as a character, nothing more.

Well... Actually the Jazz that's about to be in my new set of movies is about to be a little different than he was in Slayer. I'm dropping the mob thing, because with my mindset about storytelling now he would have to still be in the mob, I hate generic "I used to be a bad boy" characters now...
But if you're interested in that sort of thing, you're going to like Jazz's change a lot hehe. Not saying more than that.

Pretty much. I tried for years to make something coherent out of DevilSlayer, it hasn't worked. EVERYTHING about it was borrowed and unoriginal, and I grew bored and irritated with trying to make sense of it after 3 years. Trying to work with Ds's storyline just became a chore, wasn't fun anymore. Basically, the whole reason I'm doing it is because DS is incomplete.
