This is the coloured version of Kisa. I think I screwed up quite a bit on the colour scheme. Looks like she has a suntan or somethingXD;;;And perhaps her hair got toasted or maybe she dyed it darker=X I was trying to create a new tone in OC 3 for the background but didn't know how to.Does anyone know of any open canvas manual or how to create your own tones?Edit: Okay, I have received enough comments on the backgrd mis-match. I got the message,kay? Don't comment on it unless you have an idea how to improve it. Either way, I don't think I'll be editing this pic anymore.At least not any time soon.

This is adorable! I really don't think the background is so bad, people are just a bit too picky ^_^
You did a really great job shading her hair, although (as you said) the color is not quite as orangey as it should be. I also like the way you did her eyes, they're a nice honey, v. tiger-like shade.

The skin tones look well done. You got the color variations right. The hair looks good too. It looks a bit flat when compared to your shading work, but you are still learning colors so that is fine.
As for the background...hehe...The BG alone looks wonderful and light. The colors used within are soft and give a sense of tranquility. While it does not seem to match with the earthy tones used with the model, I believe it draws your eyes to the foreground more. If the BG had more earthy tones, then the person viewing it may concentrate more in it as opposed to the actual subject. I have to say that I LIKE the contrast between the two. Similar things have been done in other pieces, so I do not know why it appears that you are being raked over the coals on this one.
My last comment is going to be on the eyes. They seem blank. Without emotion. Maybe that is what you were going for. I do not know. The coloration is nice, but they just seem blank. Unfortunately I do not have any suggestions on how to fix that, but I have faith in you.

The hairT_T I can't shade the same with this tablet as you know;_;So, that can't really be helped unless I change my colouring style...
And the background, *screams* I really didn't know it didn't fit!!!! I can't actually tell you know, blue happens to be my favourite colour, and I have this bad habit of just merging all my favourite colours together without considering whether it matches or not0.o Guess I better not do that*sweats*
I went lazy on the eyesXD With a pessure sensitive tablet, that won't happen, but yah, you know... I can't make the proper adjustments with my current tablet now... maybe I just suck at controlling this tablet-_-
Since I rely a lot on pressure when drawing with the pencil, I guess having a pressure-resistant tablet sure messes things up:/
I guess the only thing I can say now about good coloured works from me is...wait til I get my tablet,kay?

Re-read what I said about the BG. I do not have a problem with it. Blue happens to be my fav color too.
I know that you are doing the best with the equipment that you have. I will wish for that Wacom tablet for you as hard as I can *wish...wish...wish...*
I do not think the problem is you, the problem lies within the tablet itself and not being able to meet your standards. You are an excellent artist. Don't let anyone tell you anything different.

Wahhh!!!You're so sweet#^^# I know you don't have a problem with the bg, but when quite a few people comment that it's not fitting, I get worked up over it tooU_U And yes, perhaps the tablet is not meeting my standards but what?! I read that some artists say that they use mouse or tablets that are just as pathetic as mine to do their CGs and their works are simply amazing!! That means, ....my standard isn't so high either...that it can't overcome the tablet's limitations......
Anyhow, I will just go back to the pencil and paper drawings....*curls up*

ehh, it just looks weird to see half her neck then a strong purple/blue contrast.
Either you cover off her neck, or change it to a more "blending" color such as warm brown, orange (not sure bout orange)... etc. or simply a darker more "dull" color. Because background kind of all "show" what type of a person the character you drew is. Since tiger *glomps* is a quiet and inward girl.. eh, yea, decide the color. xD
