I love remaking older pictures...
This one was for practice...on how to colour...uhh...nvmxD The skin came out the way I wanted it to be...but...somehow...the hair...I think it's the wrong colour...ahaha...P.S.I love the smirk...really evil...and psychotic...mwuahahah!!

Oohh...really...what makes it better than say...my ID pic? Ah, I started out with pencils when I didn't have my tablet....but without colours, it just wasn't so satisfying. I occasionally work in pencils still, because it's still fun even without colours

I think first of all I love the skin tone and the intensity of the colors, add the contrast of the image and it makes it stand out. Furthermore at least the hair is just a little sharper than your other images. It makes the hair seem more...iono...strandy. I reallllly like it though. As for pencils I think one tone images dont get as much love as they should. Its in many ways harder to make an image stand out without colors. And you cant hide an imperfect lineart behind good coloring...coz like there are a lot of artists out there who get tons of recognition just because they color pretty but their linearts are reallly not good....erm I'm babbling now

And it sure is tough getting the contrasts out with my pencil works...especially when I love to shade everything
Whoo...and for the first time I see someone noticing the linearts in coloured pics, I think lineart helps a lot too, but sadly most people think it's not really important, since bad lineart with good colouring still attracts more attention.

I find it annoying that a bad lineart can get attention if its colored pretty haha. It doesnt erase flaws. It just disguises them some. I like that you can see a beautiful artwork raw and the flaws it does have obvious yet still beautiful...if that makes sense? XD And its not wrong to reference. Its a good way to learn ne?

xD So I'm not the only one. Ever since I got my tablet I have been trying to perfect my lineart to no end. And somehow I would always be kinda dissapointed when I find a coloured pic that has a bad lineart.=/ Ah, yea, I think I get what you mean, though it took me a while to figure it outxD Referencing is good, but sometimes I think I go too far with it...sigh.

I dont like OC in photoshop because its jagged and less fluid. Occassionally I ink in painter but most of the time I ink in open canvas 4+ with the spoon pen.

its not as smooth as the spoon pen in oc4, but I like that it has nice line variaton. Its how I get the thick to thin look ^^
