Near version of this meme!
With who is stronger (overally not only physically, but overally) the Warden or Hawke - is a bit of a question for the ages. The biggest argument for Hawke, is her defeating the seemingly not that important extra boss - Xebenkeck . This is due to Xebenkeck being implied to be the leader of the Forbidden Ones/Forgotten Ones , the Elven Gods of Evil (although the "evil" part is highly questionable at this point, seeing the Evanuris, the "good" gods, except Mythal were revealed to be monstrous gods, who created oceans of blood to please their vanity).
Although on the other hand, the Warden like Hawke defeated not only a Forbidden One , and possibly a Magister Sidereal (the Architect), and surellly a monstrocity of the Architect's creation, even more powerfull than him (The Mother), as admitted by the Architect himself, along with an Old God/Archdemon (who was essentially Grey Warden-Disciple-Normal Archdemon hybrid, due to the Architect tainting Urthemiel via forcing him into the joining ritual. And joining can cause a masive power increase in Darkspawn, as seen in the Disciples and the Mother, who went from a "just" fairly powerfull magic using Broodmother, to being more powerfull than a Magister Sidereal)
Although I get why you wanted to settle it in a light hearted fashion XD
Well I can understand why you could be mad at Altstair for having a meltdown about Alistsir joining the team, but why I like Loghain and sympathize with him, I can fully get here Alistair - from wha Alistair knows, and what Loghain *didn't* clear up for some reason yet (probably as he stated he originally thought the Warden and Alistair were children playing at war like Cailan), from what Alistair knows, Loghain caused the death of his brother (Cailan); as well as the death one of his father figures (Duncan), disrespected Duncan's memory by framing the Grey Wardens into killing Cailan; ordered the nearly succeesfull assassination of his other father figure (Eamon), which can lead to death of nearly all of the town Alistair grew up in; and in the end the Warden from Alistair perspective further muddies the Grey Warden's good name, by allowing Loghain to join.
I just think those are relativelly good reasons, to be pissed of.
Curiously, it was originally to be possible to have Alistair and Loghain team, as seen in their cut conversation from as far in the production as the Return to Ostagar DLC:

One would be able to have Loghain in the party far earlier, persumably if one would kill Connor or Isolde, and gone directly for the Sacred Ashes, and then the Landsmeet, seeing Loghain has a cut section in the Fade from the Broken Cirle Mission:

Out of curiocity though - while your character is a Human Mage (I guess in at least part due to being Hawke's relative?), did you like any of the other Origins? The City Elf is quite interesting, especially when romancing Leliana, seeing Leliana saved the City Elves mother , as well as some other interestig things (like some more impact on the final battle taking place in Denerim; I think interesting storyline, including beng able to arguable behave the most asshole way as a City Elf; although there being some interesting rewards if one played a non-asshole City Elf, ie the Fang (of Fen'harel) dagger, especially on the console, or with a fan patch, were it's one of the best dagger in game.)

Oh, ok.
Then I recommend trying out a City Elf character, maybe a Rogue (they can get quite powerfull in Origins), especially two-weapon Rogues) or Two Weapon Warrior (as they were possible in Origins.)
(Another curiocity, is that Daniel Erickson, the lead designer on 'Star Wars: The Old Republic', wrote the City Elf Origin.)

Well, ok.
Just in short I think Alistair is just understandable is being critically pissed over keeping Loghain alive, and having him go through the Joining (especially that while in context I can sympathize with Loghain's decision in Ostagar, and even with Eamon* he really didn't at all even try to make his situation look good to Alistair, or even priperly explain it to him.)
*As really, Eamon and Cailan were arguably commiting treason againt Ferelden, even if I think more out of being manipulated by Celene, especially Cailan.

Glad to see you picked Loghain over Alistair. The fact that he's voiced by Simon Templeman alone pretty much sealed Alistair's fate.
Also, Loghain dindu nuffin wrong!
