You know, FF8 wasn't all that bad. The story and cast were well done (wish that orange moomba creature thing could have been a party member) and even my inner sucker for romance was satisfied. Remember, this was 1999. Eiffel 65's "Blue" hadn't even hit the radios yet. Feel old yet?

I picked this redo for several reasons. My old Rinoa pic has gotten a lot of recent love and every time I look at it I cringe. And then I've been wanting to do FemSquall for a while, even with that troublesome hair. So I decided to do both. I was also curious to see what kind of style I've developed in addition to anything else I may have picked up, so I took advantage of a practice session. This was done without any posing references just to see where I stood. I almost attempted to squeeze the other ladies I have in mind, but I can barely handle two damsels at a time and I'd have run out of page space.

If this was more than a hobby I'd probably have some sweet digital setup for clean up and coloring, but my guns/ammo and video game expenses are nibbling away at my art resource funds (I still don't have a working scanner). And I'd very much like to eat something other than Ramen throughout the week. I'm sure you all understand.

My proportions need a lot of work still, as do a list of other things (hands...), and for that I apologize.
