I started today not with a request, but with a picture of Merka, for a skit idea:(rustle of leaves)
Alex: "Huh? Hey! There's a bunny!"
Rhea: "A rabbit? In these woods?"
Merka: "Inaba!"
Alex and Rhea: "Huh?"
Merka: "Awww! Come'ere, sweetie!"
Rhea: "Uh... Merka? Is that your pet?"
Merka: "Actually, Inaba's my familiar."
Alex: "Familiar?"
Merka: "It's like this: some mana-weavers and other spell-casters have magical pets that allow them heightened senses, as well as serves as eyes and ears when they are away."
Alex: "Eyes and ears?"
Merka: "Did you know that rabbits can hear two times better than humans? And that they have peripheral view?"
Alex: "Really?"
Merka: "Uh huh. And a rabbit's smell is so good, it can smell food that's underground!"
Rhea: "Wow, Merka. How do you know all that?"
Merka: "Familiars share their senses with their masters... You know what? I'm having this crazy craving for carrot salad."
Rhea: "You have GOT to be kidding..."
