She's Sakura, the protagonist of CLAMP's "Cardcaptor Sakura" series! It's a really cute series. ^_^

Haha, it's a bit old by this point, but it's a classic! The sequel series is also currently airing, and it looks gorgeous.

Perfect paper for her. ^^ The ribbons are a particularly lovely combination of colours. She has such a bright expression! <3

Thank you! It's always fun to make the same piece with different patterns and see how the feel of the results differ. ^_^

Haha, I guess so! A good chunk of my apartment is taken up by my paper stash.

Do you usually buy bigger sized paper? Like A2?

Yutaan In reply to Riemea [2017-09-01 01:56:03 +0000 UTC]
I have all kinds of sizes! A lot are A2-sized, since that can be found in a lot of specialty stores, but they run the gamut from larger than that down to some that are only a few inches square. Β

I use paper cement and rubber cement - whichever is on sale at the nearby art supply store. (I know there must be some sort of difference between them, but I've never honestly never noticed much of one.) They both dry flexible and nearly clear, which is helpful if you don't want any glue to be visible on your final piece, and excess glue can also be carefully peeled off the piece once you're done. On the downside, they can yellow with age and stain the paper unless you keep the final piece airtight.
Good luck!

Thanks! I tried a slightly new thing with the eyes, and it was fun to experiment a bit.

I'm not sure which Sakura I like better! I feel like the gold in her hair from the previous piece gives her more depth, while she seems a little more flat in this one, but I do love the patterns for clothing more. Great work!
