I seriously love this picture and am very sad I didn't buy the print when it was still there.
As for the danger he put them all in yeah I agree that they didn't really address it enough and I think the other three should have chewed him out for his stupidity. On the other side of it though Rei is a very new swimmer who has never swam in the ocean before and I don't remember the other three explaining the dos and don'ts of swimming in the ocean to him. It was a really foolish thing for him to do, but Rei is portrayed very much so as a foolish intellectual. They do sort of cover why being in the ocean is so dangerous with Makoto's and Rin's back stories.

As for episode 6, yeah - I thought that the issue really should have been addressed.... I can't imagine Makoto or the others wouldn't have given him some basic safety instructions before heading out, though. A-And it's just... common sense... Rei...! not to swim in the ocean at night! alone...!!!!! Ah well, but you're right, he doesn't seem to have much by way of common sense. Well, it did all work out okay in the end, so that's something! ^_^

:slow clap: I actually was pretty disappointed that that whole cliffhanger got resolved so quickly, and the topic of safety was barely touched on...? Like - like - okay, KyoAni, the fandom freaked out for a week but that's GOOD, you want an emotional response! You're allowed to keep things tense and scary for more than a minute and a half! You're allowed to let significant dangerous events have real consequences! It's... okay... You can tell cute embarrassing stories about your cast... after that....

UNGHHHH I mean I think the Iwatobi crowd is pretty happy? They've all got some issues, of course, but Haru's arc has actually been really great and well-written and HEALTHY and I'm HAPPY for all of them, I am - except I'm not because I don't care because I CAN'T BE HAPPY while Rin clutches at anything around him and blames himself for all the wrong things (don't get me wrong, that boy fucked up a bunch of his life all on his own, but. Your dad. Honey, no. Don't ever think that was your fault.)

Haru's development, and discovery or really, healthy human emotions and reaction has somehow risen above everything esle to become my favourite thing about the series. It was so wonderful to see how he changed.

Yeah, Haru's arc was really/i> well-written, I was very impressed (hah I thought this was going to be a silly fanservice show HAHAHAHA).
