I decided to make a Pokemon plush. There are a few I like and the official plush just don't look right. This is Espeon it stands 9" tall (with out ears 7" tall) 6" long and 7" wide with ears. His eyes are hand painted and sealed. The red gem I used red velvet so when its in the light it goes from light to dark red. Its body is made from a light purple velvet so its really soft.Oh and he is for sale. Please message me with offers.

you can buy pattern books to make plush, its very time consuming when you first start, it takes some skill too! you get the patterns from craft shops.

I know this is an old comment, but if you get the chance I'd really appreciate it if you had any pattern books you'd recommend for plush toys?

Of course, I don't have any specific names as after I got the basic Idea I made my own but I would reccomend that you look in to japanese pattern books.
The english and US type seem very basic compared and often are hard to understand, although some of the japanese pattern books have the text in another langauge the pictures are very easy to understand.
Try ebay for them, sometimes they can cost a bit more but definatly worth it, I brought a ton of English patterned but none of them compared to the japanese style, it was much simpler

Another plush I've seen was absol. I really don't like the official one either. So I may make a plush of him.
I'm not planning on stop making plush. So if you ever want one just give me a yell. Oddly enough its relaxing to sew by hand.
