My new A3 Poster! ^0^

I don't know why but this took forever oAo I was sooo slow while working on this, it is really annoying >x> Maybe it was because I wasn't in best health when I drew it? Anyways, I hope that won't happen again^^
The picture shows Queen Chrysalis, the main Antagonist from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 2. Or it rather shows my human design of her! I tried to make it very Fantasy-esque yet still so that it reminds one of her. I hope I suceeded in that, haha^^
I always loved Chrysalis look and personality a lot! And I thought she would be great for a poster in my traditional style with the dark airbrushed BG and glowy things!
Besides the usual difficulty with drawing glowy stuff I also added gradients and transparent things. What was I thinking? x_x It was so difficult and I can't even tell anymore if it looks good. I can't tell anything anymore about this pic, I just worked too long on it xD
Most important to me is that you guys like it though ^0^

Wh-wh-whooooooaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you're so insane, this, this is mind-boggling!!! I always have trouble contemplating how you're able to do such complicated arts traditionally, because I could never do glowing effects right even just in watercolor, but you make them so absolutely stunning with airbrush-!!!
The glowing crystals and beads are just--so beautiful, my gosh!!! Is the glow something you can add in on top of the black, or is it something you have to plan out beforehand???
And gosh, the detail on the figure as well, her hair and eyes and outfit, are all so beautifully painted~ I love this so much!!!

It was so much fun drawing such a big picture traditionally again >w< Though I have to admit I had to sketch this thing digitally, a traditional sketch would have required too much erasing and since I was unsure about the outfit and colors I made it digitally uwu However the rest was made with my usual traditional mediums, I hope I have time to use them for a big picture soon again^^
TBH the glowy effects are SO much more easy with copics or airbrush than with watercolor xD I think if I were to do it with watercolors I'd work off the colors to make this effect, every other way seems to be too complicated.
The crystals I have to plan beforehand! I have to not add too much color around them to not make them glow. But the beads and shinies are simply by taking away color by adding a lighter shade and washing away the dark color by soaking the paper in a lighter tone. However that uses a lot of color |D
I really wanna draw her again since I'm so frikkin proud of the outfit design xDD Though I have to admit the colors aren't ones I'm usually too fond of^^

Th-th-that's just crazy man, you're insane!!! I can't imagine doing something so complicated, my gosh... I'm glad watercolors are fairly quick and fluid, hahahah!! XDD
But it's so worth it for your final result-!!
Though, I also do the same thing, whenever I do a big watercolor painting, I always plan out the colors first digitally, so I don't mess up TOO BAD with my watercolors... xD

I LOVE Watercolors but really, sometimes they fail me! Drying to quick, drying too slow, making water spots where there aren't supposed to be any! oAo That's why I could never use watercolors only |D
It is, the final result usually makes everything worth it ^0^
Yeah, I guess I COULD do a thumbnail traditionally too, but let's be honest: That's something that works out way easier digitally^^

Ich find es ist dir extrem gut gelungen die lichtefekte und die "Partikel" in der Luft find total hübsch das einzige was ich hier bemängeln könnte wäre das horn das da einfach so auf dem Kopf aufpoppt aber es ist komisch soetwas zu bemängeln wenn das Bild einen solchen gesamteindruck hat

Ja, der Scan ist leider nicht so gut, ich hatte die Haut um das Horn eigentlich so coloriert als würde es aus der Haut kommen, das sieht man überhaupt nicht mehr orz Ich spiele mal nochmal ein bisschen an den Einstellungen rum, vielleicht siehts dann besser aus ^0^

The main aspect here was actually just that I wanted to show off my design I made of Chrysalis^^
