In Kingdom Hearts, Sora is always 'reaching' for Riku - whether he's attempting to out-do Riku, surpass Riku, search for Riku, defeat Riku, etc; Riku is always something he's 'reaching' for in one way or another. Kairi, on the other hand, is the one who put the strength in his heart to continue to fight, to never give up, to believe and move forwards.Since I did the image with a whispier line style than I normally use, I used a softer colouring style ^^
For 's October contest. The contest wanted a peice depicting "Love in Battle; Your Love My Strength" and this is my contribution.

this is beautiful! one of the few really touching Sora/Kairi fan arts i have seen. love the light colors and their peaceful expressions.

I love how you did this drawing.
Its really gorgeous. The dreamy feeling i get from this really adds to it. Kairi is one of my absolute favorite characters but some people just don't understand how important she is... I love your description. I showed it to a friend who didn't believe Kai was important..Now she thinks without Kairi, Sora wouldn't have been such a hero. Wow... This is gorgeous. The coloring and shading is wonderful, Kairi's hair is drawn so beautifully in the wind and the clothes are marvelous.
