Description
So... since my colors kinda suck (at least I think so), I made a monochrome/value painting while I work on that.
As you can see, I'm quite set on a more realistic style as of now, something on the lines of Final Fantasy or Dead or Alive I guess. Not photoreal by any means, but that's not my goal anyway.
What do you think? I actually quite like this and it's a lot of fun doing it.
As for the piece itself, I'm somewhat worried that Beryl looks a tad too old; she's supposed to be 15, but looks quite smaller and younger than other characters of that age (e.g. Etna) in the games... so that's a thing.

I'm open to suggestions about what to paint next, both licensed and original characters are okay (even ones that only have a description and not a design per se).

Character: Raspberyl from Disgaea 3, designed by Takehito Harada and owned by Nippon Ichi Sofware. Pose taken from one of her in-game portraits too.
Tools used: Adobe Photoshop CS6, Wacom Bamboo Connect (gotta get a better tablet)
