I didn't wanted to let the summer pass without making a summer-theme illustration ; 3 ;It took me 3 hours to paint it because I only wanted to test the paper first and I noticed I pretty much liked it even though I only know it's Canson, but I don't know the weight or anything else because it came with an art magazine ;w;

* Copic Multiliners 0.1, 0.2
* Reeves and Winsor & Newton watercolors

Your art reminds me a lot of Arina Tanemura and a bit of Selena Lin.

I've been pretty much influenced by her when I was smaller and that kinda explains it, but lately I think I want to depart myself from her...like ..A LOT farther! ;w; I'm trying new styles even if I don't post them on dA, but thanks for your nice words

Same here. You know, copying (tracing and then free-hand) your favorite art is a good tool to learn how artists use lines/shape to create their images, and to train your hands to make those movements as well (exercising the transition of a visual stimulation to making it with your hands). Of course, those can't be submitted to DeviantART as they break copyright and terms of use agreement, but is nonetheless a great exercise to use offline.

hm, I never meant to copy anyone's art ;w; I always wanted to have my own original style, it just happened that Arina-sensei was the first mangaka I've ever known and I always bought her manga and read it, her style influenced me in a more subconsciously way or smth ;;u;;" now I'm more advanced than I was 2-3 years ago when I started drawing, so I want to create something more unique, but I'm happy for you that you discovered your own style in the end :3 anyways, styles keep evolving, so there's not an end to it x3

Oh, I wasn't saying you were copying Arina-sensei. XD The fact that your art looks like her style is a compliment to her, and speaks of your roots.
That however would be different if you were literally copying a picture of hers that you were looking at, which is not what I am accusing you of. XD
Yes, and as artists, we are never truly satisfied. I am very unsatisfied with my style now, which is why I'm going back to that copying exercise to understand other artistic choices.
