Spunky but a good boy, Hyun-ki has always been quite a character. He likes to appear as the good kid, helping others, making sure he's reputable and minding his manners. As you get to know him however, he starts to warm up and you can almost see a twinkle in his eye. You would often see him mouthing off to people, ' burning' them with insults ( Jokingly or not-) but he always makes sure not to push it too far and tries to be as level headed as possible.

Even though he's mostly high spirited, he's quite the lazy boy prefering to stay indoors than out- looking for the easiest way to do things. It's not that he cant do most things, it's that he chooses not to and its easier to sit around than to play no? He is one of those people that is labeled to having potential but would not put in effort to show for it. He is strongly opiniated in a way, that when he feels strongly about something, he will stick to what he feels no matter what.

Coming off as rude or sassy, the boy does have a good heart and would be willing to help people in need. Silently doing good things or refusing to be credited is how he prefers to do them because it's less of a hassle. As long as whoever it was feels happy it's enough-- But the boy is usually a lazy bum so you might not see that happening who knows-




• Background:

Living in a family of four, it wasn't chaotic nor was it quiet, not too crowded or empty. At least, that's how Hyun-ki felt it to be. His childhood was a rather normal one, playing around in the park with his sister, riding in the car for their monthly family outing. Sure he got in trouble alot seeing he had a sharp tongue and fought with his sister alot ( mostly over books and toys ) but he'd like to think he was brought up rather pleasantly and was happy with life so far.

His life changed abit when his sister got her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts. Seeing that it was a boarding school, he had to bid her farewell till it was his turn next year to go. It was quiet without his sister around and he would just lay in his room, wondering what to do. Magic was a norm in their lives so didnt pique his interest that much- still he read up on some books he found laying around. Hyun-ki had many hobbies and 'talents' but he never felt oblidged to emerse in anything with 100% of his efforts, growing slightly dull in the absence of his overbearing sister. He would often complain to his mother on how lonely he was without her and pouted miserably to himself.

Holidays were like blessing when she would return and he loved hearing the stories she would tell about Hogwarts, how exciting and amazing it was. Hyun-mi was what you could think of as oxygen to Hyun-ki's flame, someone who would push him to do his best or drag him outside for some fresh air so when she was absent for too long, Hyun-ki's spark would detorate. The more he heard about Hogwarts the more he wanted to go and join his sister, eyes twinkling just abit.

When his letter came. he couldnt be happier, silently wriggling in excitement as he stared at the envelope- Finally!! Hyun-ki didnt really enjoy the past few weeks before school started, the constant hassle of getting things and packing but it would all be worth it soon aye? His first few years in school were rather boring in his opinion, studying and more studying ( well it's a school lol ) but hanging out with friends was surely a treat, goofing off and playing pranks on each other. He always longed though for the company of his sister or at least someone like her but she would always be with her own group of friends and her own tests to study for. He deicided to get a pet then, a bird. Hyun-ki had always held a fascination towards birds so he went along and got a Magpie, naming her Jacqueline, hoping that maybe she would help liven up his atmosphere.
