I like the way how you made Spock cold and Kirk warm... Lots of people do it the other way around but Vulcans have cooler body temperatures than humans. Great work!

I thought they had warmer body temperatures and this is why they live on a desert planet, because it would keep their body temperature at an optimal level for their organ function. It is a bit confusing but isn't the body temperature sort of a set point, and external temperatures lower than it are perceived as cold while external temperatures warmer are perceived as too hot and so because Vulcans are more comfortable in hot climates, this would indicate that their internal body temperature is closer to the external temperature of Vulcan?
That's just something I've been wondering about as I read spirk fanfics

It's actually the other way around. They need a colder body temperature to survive on such a hot planet. It's the same with reptiles. Reptiles have cold blood to cope with the heat they live in. So Vulcans are colder which makes it more comfortable to live on a dessert planet. I mean, desserts are already hot and sweaty for us. Even dangerous if you stay in the heat too long. If a Vulcan would have a higher temperature their blood would probably be boiling! And adding the fact that they don't sweat, their body temperature is definitely lower than humans.
If you want to read more about it: [link]
It's the Star Trek wiki, you can read all about Vulcan physiology. Their exact temperature is 32.78C (91F). There's a complete explanation about why their body temperature is so low and the link with their planet. Bones even calls Vulcan blood 'ice water.'
But I do understand why so many Spirk stories do it the other way around because the idea of a litteraly 'hot' Spock is very interesting to write about.
I hope you understood my explanation ^^

Okay, I get it but like reptiles, that would make Vulcans 'cold-blooded' or poikliothermic, meaning that their heat comes from the surroundings rather than internally. What I also find interesting is this revolves around the thought that the end body temperature that is optimalfor organ function, would be a similar temperature for optimal human organ function. It is assuming that Vulcan organs are constructed similarly to humans' which is surprising to me, given that they are 'aliens'. I guess it makes sense though, given the character was created in the 60's when people would have thought that all humanoid beings would be constructed similarly to them.
Haha, I'm just being an overanalytical biologist XD
