Inspired by iconic figures that have passed away but live on through image and sound to become legends. I wish to bring together the materials that contain the living memory of such individuals in a format accessible to everybody. By combining graphic design, ASCII art, written text, and sound I created Audio Visual Posters which can be read as you view it from close proximity. Hidden messages taken from the body of work left behind by Tupac Shakur can be re-discovered within the posters. A soundtrack accompanies the images featuring the voices of Tupac Shakur. Audio Visual Posters places the audience in the palms of their hands and depicts astounding aspects of their everyday lives and struggles with sound and art. I have grown up influenced by such individuals and have inherited a lot of the wisdom and hope they gave to the world for people like me living in challenging situations. The poster designs are A0 in size, I decided to crop the images to enhance the size limitation of the readable text and bring the words closer to the viewer.
