I'm officially moving to Bluesky !!!

Now before you panic and think I'm going to abandon DeviantArt cold turkey, let me first say that I'll still be posting owed art and occasional post here from time to time until I feel like I've built a decent audience on bsky c: I'll mostly be active and post more frequently there.

I came to this conclusion after DeviantArt's public post supporting genocide. I'm not one to get political but seeing as how I grew up watching Palestine be ethnically cleansed for decades, that particular post really rubbed me off the wrong way. I also need to clarify that I am not in fact antisemitic, my distaste is entirely on Israel. The situation as a whole is such a heavy topic that I as your goofy online horse artist am not the best person to speak about such matters. I recommend news outlets like Al Jazeera, since they cover new in regards to the middle east.

After that journal I've become extremely unmotivated to post here. I think the issues have just been snowballing from the moment DeviantArt partnered with Wix, things were so simpler back than. Wishing I could pull out a time machine and go back to the time before Eclipse, AI art, etc.

But hey! Maybe it's a telltale sign I should move to greener (or I guess blue) pastures BD
Starting a new on a completely different platform seems like such a herculean task, but I'll definitely be trying my hardest to make the most out of it. Maybe I'll even start a Youtube and Patreon like I always wanted to :''']

"Leaving" feels so heavy for me to do fully because as much as I hate this dumpster fire of a site, I adore my community here so so much!
You guys kept me going and made me stick around for as long as I did. Hey and if you decide to follow me along I hope you'll like what I have in store for the future :3c

Not sure how I'll format my nextgen universe without DA, I'll force myself to learn coding or something so that I can make a proper website for my goofy horse lore, but for now I'll probably write notes and post them along side art pieces on my bsky.

Again, I'm not leaving asap. I'm trying to slowly ween myself off of this website ahaa
But let me know what you think about the piece!! I had a lot of fun with it :]
Wanted to add clouds but decided against that last minute, felt like the drawing would be too crowded. I used a stamp brush to quickly map out the sunflowers, but painted over them to fit the image better.
Procrastinated on finishing this for quite a bit, glad that I can finally cross it out of my to do. Back to work!!
