AUUUGH. This picture is such an editing nightmare! The sketch was so cute and great and then I put it on photoshop and the line art was lovely and then I realized I had done the line art on my base layer. @__@'' rrrgg... So yes. THE COLORING DOES SUCK. I had to use a gross opacity to get the colors on. TT__TTI wanted this to be so much cuter but ah alas!!

About the picture
Today is 9/9/9! In japan the number 9 is considered bad luck as the word for "nine" is a homophone (of a similar sound) to the word for "Suffering". XD
However in China 9 is the second most lucky number, symbolizing great wealth! It's funny how different these two countries are. XD

SO YES CHARACTERS ARE HONDA KIKU AND WANG YAO FROM HETALIA. <3 These characters do not belong to me.
I'm suprised no one else has done this yet. XDDD

In China, the emporers robe usually had 9 dragons on it. So it's a pretty important number. XD
The way it's pronounced can also mean "Longlasting" so it's used at weddings as well. I bet alot of people got married yesterday!
And yes, Your absolutely right about the death thing. . XD
I really enjoy looking up superstitions in different cultures.
