When i'm not using the gradual ND filter - and i don't use it on my Sigma 10-20/4-5.6 lens because of the vigneting - i take 2 exposures of the same scene - one exposed for the sky and one for the foreground. I then combine the 2 exposures in one photograph. It is if you like a manual HDR. For this shot i used a long exposure to get the motion of the clouds.
