naah, I just zoomed in to the max, then crop to make it everything macro.

I'm surprised my t700 even has good macro, didnt expect it from a point and shoot. ill miss that when i get an SLR though.

wow same here, sometimes it's even better than my SLR.. but now it's kind of getting old. You will def enjoy SLR

Yeah.. I might stick with getting a cheaper canon rather than the Nikon I was hoping for. I've tried it out and it's a great camera, kit lens is better too. It's a little heavy. :/ We'll see how it goes. Planning on it after exams cos we're going to Berlin in the summer.
