first of all, that HUD is totally awesome. Been searching for something like that for quite some time. Planning to use it for my screensaver, if that's all right.

The hidden frame, around 1460, if I remember correctly, it's the monster from 'Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)' - [url=[link] ]HERE[/url] or at least it looks like that, certainly more similar to this, than to SAW doll, as someone suggested before me, hah.

Yet again, well done.

Anyway, would there be a chance of getting one copy without the monster? I mean, I downloaded Flash Professional CS5.5 for that, but I guess, there might be some conflict when saving it and exporting back to .swf, because I'm obviously missing all the fonts and it seems, they got replaced by some default ones, etc. I just assume, if I do remove the monster frame on my own, it just won't look as perfect as yours. Anyway, thanks for an answer on this topic.

Nope that's not it. It's actually the bifrost alien from an episode of The Outer Limits(old version) called "The Bellero Shield". I remember first seeing the episode when I was like 12 or 13 and the looks of that alien for some reason frightened me so much, I jumped back, and I actually had to hide from my TV behind my bed. So I randomly decided to include it in this. I have no idea why... I guess as some sort of 'easter egg'.

You probably could have got it if you had tineye'd the image after decompiling the swf.

Ah, that's cool. I sort of knew DeviantART before, just nowadays came back, searching for this kind of stuff /futuristic HUD and this animated good looking stuff/ and came across your profile, so I had to try to guess the 'Easter Egg', hah.

I, indeed, decompiled it, opened it in Flash, removed the image, but I guess that once I try to compile it as .swf again, it will let me, but because of the missing fonts, it will simply look different. I got really no idea, this was the first time I launched this software, I only did some stuff in After Effects before. ;|

I've also noticed, you're launching a new site this summer - your portfolio / your web-design company site, I can't tell, but I really wanted to ask, if particularly you (if you work alone) or your company would accept a freelance job, regarding to some web-design (whole site) or improving the site with this kind of animated 'in Flash made' graphics (designing parts of the web), etc. Can't tell yet all the details, because we're yet in stage of discussions about the site content, purpose, etc. Nothing is sure yet, only one thing, which is a fact that we'll need someone's help and I'd pay for it, of course.

Please let me know, if you'd be even considering such thing.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to like this tech kind of stuff. This flash one is pretty old and simply experimental.

I'm planning on something similar, but WAY WAY bigger, and extraordinarily complex. Think along the lines of this: [link] only many of them, and even in different themes (military, spaceship, medical, ground control, etc. etc.), and multiple interfaces per theme. I'm hoping it will launch me into doing this kind of VFX for big-budget films, but at the same time, I will be selling both flattened movie files as well as fully layered AE project files so that others can use it as a resource in their films, art, or even just enjoy it running on their desktop background.

So stick around. I will probably have to spend somewhere around a couple thousand hours to get all of the interfaces done.


I have already redesigned my portfolio and developed the homepage, but the problem is, is that I haven't actually had the time to stop and code the rest, or even write the content. For now, I only work alone.

I've signed in MSN, but it looks like the request didn't get through. I've added you as well /the elite_skillz@hotmail.com account/, but the newest MSN has this known glitch, so adding isn't really an easy thing, like it used to be. I'm not sure, how often you're online, but from my experience, we both gotta be signed in / online and than resend the request to avoid that glitch, it's weird, hopefully Microsoft will fix this within the new release, it's all about their security and stuff. I'll stay signed in from now on and won't turn off my PC, see, if that helps or the case might be, you added me to your different account that the elite_* one..
