He couldn’t make a game about it, Sisters of Battle are Games-Workshops intellectual property, and Games-Workshop are known for taking legal action to anyone who try to make a game outta their stuff

Yeah, I completely forgot about Games Workshop when I said that; it was out of sight out of mind. I wasn't even meaning for money either, just like a little flash game or something for fun, but even that would be an issue. I used to play the table top games they make, and every year their prices would go up, and up, and up. It was eventually part of the reason I quit. I can't imagine them being ok with non-for-profit fanwork.

Iv Never seen them take issue with fan art, but yeah, when it comes to fan games however they are sue happy lol
And I hear you, I used to play, then it became just painting a box or two a year, it’s just to damn expensive, although I’ll have to pick up a box of the new sisters of battle when they come out summer 2019

Yeah, I heard about about the new sisters. Nice they're getting new sculpts. It's a shame that by the time I left, Games Workshop started making more high detail plastic models and the prices were at least affordable. When I was playing, almost everything was metal. I think it evened out for me, though, because I was also playing during a time (I'm talking Fantasy, I had only started to collect 40k models when I quit) when Chaos was one army with one army book, and you could use whatever units you wanted. Shortly after I quit, they came out with a new edition of the game rule book, and Chaos, Daemons, and Beastmen were now their own armies. I get the logic behind that, but I tell you, when you could combine them like that before, it made for some really powerful combinations. Being able to cherry pick the best units for your play style meant there was alot of variety. Fun times. Too expensive, but fun times.
