worse than battle tendency, better than stardust crusader! I just thought this particular scene was amazing (especially with gg subs, since they are half troll subs).

ggsubs are not based on duwang. afaik, they just tried to recreate how people used to talk during the period the story takes place (so they use an old english style for PB, ("I can even heave such heft!"), or a kind of gangster american style for BT.)
I'm sure if I watched JoJo with neutral subs, I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. it just adds to the absolute over the top craziness of the show.
I guess Jonathan was fine. he sure didn't feel like modern heroes and that was a breath of fresh air. I still preferred Joseph by far (young Joseph, of course. not the almost senile Indiana Jones from part 3!). he I loved the fact he always had a plan for everything (even the fight against Straits. how many heroes do you know who take a machinegun and several grenades then shoot without even a warning to fight their first enemy? that was just awesome. and it keeps getting more and more crazy throughout the arc. I fucking loved that arc. stardust crusader was a disappointment, and felt like a weekly shonen, with a fight per episode which leaves no room to development. also I disliked the art style a lot.)

Watch Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It's an amazing anime. Many russian fans said it reminded them of 90's american action cartoons, such as Batman TAS or X-Men.

but half the fun is drawing random shit and seeing people go "well that's...interesting". I believe that if you get any reaction at all, whether it be good or bad, your drawing was a success because you made them stop and notice what you have drawn.
