Mhm, I used it in different ways, but this is a good idea! Do you use just particular pumpkins types, or a common big orange pumpkin is alright?

Here in Spain, the confiture made with sugar and pumpkin is known as "cabello de angel" (angel's hair) , becuse the luscious and tremendously sweet threads it makes. I strongly suggest you to use it to cover recently baked croissants. It's terrific!!!
