I guess i've been reading too much fanfics to choose this ship over lapidot >w<archiveofourown.org/works/4566…
However i do think there might be more hints in canon as Peridot currently has a condescending behavior towards Pearl, and due to character development the writers might make Peridot finally realize Pearl is genuinely extraordinary and will risk her life for a slave much to Yellow Diamond's disdain

I enjoy this way more than Perithyst. Still debating whether it's better than Lapidot, but for the moment this is a very cute picture.
