In my favorite headcanon of Underfell, the Fellbros treat each other roughly so that other monsters are less tempted to use them against each other. Especially with how delicate Sans is. Papyrus treats him as his underling, just barely useful enough to be outweighed by his failures. He doesn't hurt Sans physically, just doling out verbal abuse, shoving him, and dragging him around by the coat hood or the collar. Sans knows not to take it personally; it's all for his own protection. And he knows that Papyrus hates to treat him this way.

All they both want is to be close, to be family. But in this kill-or-be-killed world, that would be a death sentence. They're forced to be distant and lonely, no matter how closely they stand to one another.

I tried out an experimental style for the heck of it, to try and pull myself out of art block. At least it's something. I hope I can keep up the momentum.
