Description Those rings were a pain to make and add, took me quite some time to adjust and fix. Enjoy the view tho

The most importaint thing that I need to say: I like it. Seriously, this space piece has something magical ( or maybe ... mysterious ? ) in it.
There`re a few mistakes in a copmosition in this artwork, but it is not importaint now. You will notice them after some time, with a bit more experience of drawing things like this ( and of drawing at all of course ).
I like the colours here. Why? Because you mixed cold and warm tones, and it is a very clever step. Cold blues and warm browns make a great contrast together. It is expressive.
Well, I`d love to see more artworks like this in your gallery!

I like the lighting, the color, and the overall composition. The three planets give a good sense of distance, the lighting is consistent, and the level of detail on the planetary surfaces is pretty mich spot on, imo.

However, I'd consider dropping one or both of the accretion disks of the third planet - it looks a bit too much. Since the viewer focuses on the front planets anyway, it might be a good idea not to draw too much attention to the exotic setup in the background.

Hmm that is an interesting of seeing it, had not thought of that. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

SPAAAACE! I just had to
The way you've done the planets is quite neat They look quite realistic, me thinks.
And the rings may have been a pain, but they look very impressive T'was worth it.
I feel intrigued by the planet with 2 rings.

While I'm not a fan of the color green (I always prefer blue for everything. ), I like the composition as green itself is giving life for the planets. However I would try to give some depth of field, so you could show the distance of the planets and the stars.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Zafireria In reply to lancer412 [2014-11-12 13:43:00 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your comment! I would like to give it more depth but I actually don't know how.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lancer412 In reply to Zafireria [2014-11-12 13:47:40 +0000 UTC]

Easy. Play with sharpness and blurriness. The element which is closer, that one is should be shaper, more clearer, while the ones in the background should be, more dim and a bit more blurry. That one is going to give the illusion of distance.

EquisEspada [2014-11-12 07:29:44 +0000 UTC]

not bad, it really captures the spacey feel. though something about the rings on the planet that's closest seems off.
I give it a 6.8/10.

Zafireria In reply to EquisEspada [2014-11-12 13:45:03 +0000 UTC]

Could it be because it looks like the green ring is at the front of the green outer glow on the top rather than being behind it?

Lol to be honest, my first thought was Oa (Green Lantern world), but this is just as amazing! It's amazing how many shades you put in the ring and how you can see each and every individual one!
