A gift for my boyfriend who likes Bayleef
Decided to start practicing on making backgrounds rather than those transparent ones I usually make. Still room for improvement but definitely a start! This took me way too long to make

It is very very cute!! As I do love BayLeaf!!!! But somethings I would work on are the leaves of the trees. I am gonna be straight forward with you they are what I like to call Lollipop trees. They need branches and more definition in the leaves. You did the bark great though!!! The bayleef seem out of place, mostly because it's the only one to have line
I think it'll better if either there's no line or you lined the background too

Yeah you are right. Thought it would be silly for trees to have lines and I didn't know how to make a bayleef without lines.

Um, how about coloring the lines a with similar color as the shadow but a bit darker?

I'm still new in digital art, so i'm sorry if i'm wrong
I take the trick from pixel arts, usually they make the picture looks softer that way, or making the line brown
Just in case you haven't know (since I just found out about it a few days ago too) you can change the color using clipping tools

Used that grass brush like a pro! I would've loved to see the same amount of detail in the bush/trees, but man, great job! Nice clouds!

Have to say this Pokemon is really adorable - I haven't been up to date with the Pokemon sadly. But the details are very incredible and he sure is having an awesome time too. Hope your boyfriend liked it!

That's a cute picture. Love the expression on the creature. About backgrounds - just keep practicing and don't be afraid to look for real life photos for reference. One thing I would change in this picture would be to draw some apples still hanging from the tree (assuming those are supposed to be apple trees, and that the creature is picking the apple from the tree rather than just holding it).
EDIT: Scratch that last part of my comment, I didn't notice the title at first. It's supposed to be the last apple so the lack of other apples makes sense.

I actually realized when I was done that I needed to add apples as the rest didn't make sense, so in order to cover up the blubber I named the picture "Last Apple"
