PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
Ive been working on this theme from about 2 months. I want to Specially thank some ppl from Neowin.net And dA. I hope i dont miss anyone. If i do i apologise. I wish to name all of you guys because it helped me in one way or the other.

Instructions:
1. Download Universal Theme Patcher . Run in it Administrative mode (right-click > "Run as administrator"),
UAC must be turned off.
After patch, restart the computer to take effect.
2. Select the theme according to where you place your superbar.
3. Extract contents (Win7-Shine 2.0.theme & Win7-Shine 2.0 folder) into C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
and double-click on Win7-Shine 2.0.theme
Then restart to make sure everything works properly.
5. Take ownership of explorerframe.dll in System32 folder and copy the appropreiate explorerframe.dll replacing the original!. Make sure to make a backup of the original in case of instability. (i dont know how to take permission manually, but i search for a software on google)
6. Restart computer and you are done

It's an awesome theme, Beautiful and clean! Kudos!
The only issue I see is that the white text over the transparent frames is sometimes hard to read when whatever is in the back is white or light colored. To see this just set your windows background to pure white, open the windows menu and look at the shut down button.

Installed everything like instructions say, even theΒ explorerframe.dll in System32, but my Start Orb remains the same....

One other small complaint, the start menu has a gradient on it which causes the words to get progressively harder to read as the list goes down if you have a window open with a light color or if you have a white wallpaper.
Again, this is an awesome them, I just hope my complaints help you make it more awesome!

Going to reply to myself just to say that if you darken your taskbar a small bit you can fix the issue I posted above. The issue itself is more than likely my fault since I'm used to making my taskbar have no color so it blends with what ever my wallpaper is.

This is an excellent theme and it looks fantastic.
Β My only gripe is that the blue progress bar is a little hard to see, with the light blue on white background.

restarting explorer.exe should work just fine
And its just safe to disable UAC before making changes so it lets you make changes and replace system files. You can turn it back on later.

This is the theme I always use. I've tried and tried many many many themes but there is always some shit in them. Either a bug or something that just looks awful. Too much hassle.
But this theme. No bullshit. Clean. Works. Beautiful. Nothing annoying at all.

I don't have "Win7-Shine 2.0.theme & Win7-Shine 2.0 folder" I have a bunch of other folders called Bottom, exploreframe 32bit, exploreframe 64bit, Left, Right, Top. How do I activate all of these as there are multiple .theme files??

Well, it's been more a year or two since i've installed this one. There had been some other styles I had tried (really good ones, neat, clear, sharp, etc.). However, after I installed this style to my laptop, I forgot about all the other styles. This is the theme that one can't help falling in love with. And I guess the only reason I stop by in this section of dA is to make sure there has appeared nothing better than this since that long time.
Good luck, man. This theme deserves to right to be called the best one on the dA.

I very much enjoy this theme but I do have a problem that I don't know how to fix. For the longest time I could not for the life of me understand why the explorerframe.dll did not change any navigation buttons. This was true with any other theme I tried. It just wouldn't change (I did the ownership thing and everything). Finally, I decided "forget it I'll use my own buttons" and just edit my existing explorerframe using a tool. What I found when I opened it was that the buttons were already showing as shine 2.0 buttons. This confused the hell out of me. Then I realized that I had changed the dpi on my pc to 115% because text was so small on a 2560x1440 display. I put it back to default 100% and what do you know - the shine 2.0 navigation buttons showed up like normal.
Is there a reason why the shine 2.0 explorerframe.dll doesn't work for custom dpi? is there a workaround for this? Thanks again

Just to let you know, i've (kind of) found a workaround for this issue: try using a different font.The VS i'm using (placebo) came with 2 variations: one using calibri font and another one .The 2nd one is displayed better than the first, even when setting my dpi down at 100%.It's still not perfect, but it might help you.
You can also edit the explorerframe.dll with restorator, but it's going to take a lot of time.
