Technically it's Alchemy, but that can fall under chemistry at times.

Science will never be magic, because science is so limited and boring. Buuutttt..Nice work. x3

LOl of course science never will be like the kind of magic you are thinking, thats because magic is limited to human imagination and science itself its the formal method to discover, explore and understand the unknown. Reality is stranger than fiction.
Thats why scientists are so fascinated by what they do, the problem is that some people don't have the slightest grasp of how science works and how powerful it can be, they only have irrational fear and underestimate or overestimate science.
To me science is when you understand whats going on and magic is when you don't but that doesn't mean is ununderstandable what you can't understand with the knowledge you posses in the moment of the events you don't understand.
Science be on your side.

Trust me, I am not afraid of science, and I am very familiar with it. It just saddens me to see people compare it to basically imagination itself. Magic, to me, is the power to manifest things or have miracles happen. Science just can't do that, which you mention, but so what, then? Is "reality" really stranger than "fiction?" And what are the borders between the two? It all just seems too cookie-cutter, to me. You got science, you got religion. In both, they are considered modern magic. But what I don't understand is why the two parties can't come together…
There are some things science cannot explain, and some things science is very wrong about. Religion cannot also explain everything, and they sometimes have questionable morales, but over-all it is a good influence. Then, then, what do we get when we cross the boundaries between the two? Perfection. True magic. If you combine the spiritual and the scientific, there are suddenly no boundaries. But I am not willing to accept that one is magic, and the other isn't. (Which most, in both parties, will discourage against the opposing side, you know?)

First of all im not trying to say imagination or fiction is wrong i apologize if i offended you, imagination is something amazing, something which science depends, miracles do exist and science can do miracles, "Is "reality" really stranger than "fiction?"" of course it is! fiction is great none the less but is limited to what you know, on the other hand reality is the universe and existence itself and as you mention it is so big and complex that probably our lifetime in this solar system as a civilization isn't enough to understand just a little of it "why the two parties(science and religion) can't come together" its because religion is based in ideas and explanations of how things are and work with out any evidence that can prove they are correct but i have to agree most religions do have some good morales and spiritual ways.
What i want to ask you is in what science is very wrong? yes science isnt perfect it can be used to destroy and cause suffering, and also has questionable methods but some times they can bring more good than bad.
Magic is what ever you want to be because is your belief i just exposed mine like you did, im not trying to be hostile

No, no, I know you didn't mean to be hostile. Hehe… Sorry, did I get really passionate, there? I don't honestly understand myself why I hate science so much… I guess I just do? I do think imagination goes beyond what we know, though. I guess it just doesn't interest me to find out more about the universe. I just want to solve personal questions, and for me, the only way is thinking a little outside of scientific realms.
Science can be really good, but that is just it. Science is great for furthering our culture, but not for figuring out magic or secrets to the universe. To me, it is just a tool. Only skin-deep, I guess. Does that make sense?

Don't worry, to each their own, having passion is something is very enjoyable, science is my life because it makes me happy and when i discover something it makes me euphoric, the joy to know another lump of the universe something that can potentially help not only humanity but all the creatures we share our planet is what is all life is about. But thats how i see my life, every person is different and see life in its own way.
I appreciate your passion to share your emotions about the way you see magic and is very interesting the concept you have, i would like if you could watch the universe thorough my eyes as much as i would like to see thorough your eyes. that way we could understand each other.

Hey, I wish I could see through your eyes, too. But I don't think science or magic could accomplish that… Haha, oh well. I mean, I think that is really cool that science invigorates you. The more people I find with the will to discover, the less I have to face palm about the entire world. And, better yet, the goal to further all life on this Earth is quite the admirable one. I don't really think our beliefs are all that different, I guess we just see things with glasses tinted in different shades… Or something.

Totally agree. Is a pleasure to talk with reasonable people on the internet because as you say is almost inevitable not to facepalm when you see the kinds of people can be on the internet. Watch this video is very interesting while definitely there is still a long way to be able to interchange, upload, download etc. emotions and experiences is totally possible to do that, So knowing how you think and see the world can be possible!

Whoa, amazing video! I love that guy. He is awesome. Been one of my heroes ever since I was 4. Didn't really know if he still worked on many things, but I guess he does. I hope they refine that technology, though, within maybe 10 years. That would be amazing… Anyways, thanks for sharing that, and, yeah, it is refreshing to find someone reasonable on the internet. Have a nice day, and enjoy that golden moon, tonight. (It is cloudy where I am… )

I think there's more to science then you realize. Classes can be boring, memorization can be boring, but REAL science IS Magic! learning, exploring, discovering, experimenting.... I hope you eventually get to experience it for yourself in that light. It's just absolutely endless and awe inspiring!
Thank you for the compliment on the art, too!

No problem with the compliment. :3 But anyways, I do know quite a bit about science. It doesn't bore me to learn about, but I think when people start treating it as the answer to religion, it becomes something it isn't supposed to be. Science will just never solve the great mysteries of the universe. I think we have to find that within ourselves, which I suppose could be considered "magic."
