My contribution to a zine entitled 'The Ladies of Literature' which will be for sale in late September to benefit a charity.I had to draw Violet of course, she was one of the most important characters of my childhood.

Oh, the song written in the background is so creepy and wonderful. Is this about the leeches? I admit I can't remember the plot very well of that book.

The composition feels a bit heavier on the left than the right, but to be honest it's been a while and I could be hallucinating.

Thanks, and thanks for the crit as well! I think you're right- the lightness of the top of her dress makes the left heavier, something in the upper right corner would have fixed it, but ah well! Onto the next piece!
