Description G8 Summit protest in Quebec city, Canada.

The smoke was just clearing from another volley of tear gas and I turned around just in time
to snap this shot. There are hundreds of people around, but because of the cloud, he seems so
alone.

shot with: Minolta XTSI 28-80mm lens at f 11

I also notice that I need a better scanner, sorry for the pixelation!!!

I only log into Deviant art once in a while. I am surprised people are still
seeing this image. It was taken so long ago.

I'm glad you have all enjoyed it.

I can't tell anything wrong with scanner, if at all it helps improve photos sometime especially the foggy eerie chin lifting resolute figure like this....

this is almost like a bad dream captured in a photo. the mask on the person's head makes it look like he/she is about to be executed. this is one lucky shot i should say, sort of reminds me of those photo essays from magnum. well done on the DD!

The sadness that marks protests like this is in the use of a substance to overpower and make you feel isolated and that's why protesting should continue.

Most of the time I sigh when I see boring old photography just gray scaled, but this is just amazing when you risk yourself in moderately dangerous situations to bring us ART!
