Description
This is the first bit of Inception fanart, created for my friend as a belated birthday present. It is a RECIPROCAL present, which means that I GET A FIC BASED OFF OF THIS PICTURE.I'm excited.
It's Arthur and Eames, doing their thing. Is this their first meeting? Is it after the plot of the movie? I tried to make Arthur look a little more playful than he is for most of the movie, so hopefully it looks at least DIFFERENT. Goes without saying that I hope the characters look like themselves.
I saw Inception a couple of weeks ago and was blinded by the suits, as in it could have been a movie about men raiding a Dollar Tree for all of its candy and I would still have sat there happily for three hours, watching the tailored suits go back and forth.
Yeah, I realize I have a thing.
Anyway, if you guys have crits feel free to let me know. I worked hard on it so I'd be happy to learn my blind/weak spots in here. I tried to make a background work but in the end I liked it better just with the grey. Ah well.

Their clothing is a little 2D.. with the exception of Arthur's shirt. Their faces have lots of detail and fantastic shading/lighting/shape, whereas the vest and shirt do not. Real clothing flows and folds, creates shadows.. you know ? I hope this helps, and sorry for my double commentary !

I honestly have no idea why this does not have more favs. It looks fantastic ! I cant even pick one single thing that I like most ... it's the picture as a whole that I enjoy.

I dunno, getting stylized likenesses is way hard. You did really well with Eames! And Arthur's really close, just... augh, it's so frustrating when there's like one line a millimeter off and it changes everything, and I have a feeling that's the case here?

Yeahhh I know what you mean. Umm. It's possible I made Arthur look more asian than he actually is, seeing as I am convinced (CONVINCED) that JGL is part-asian and just doesn't know it. AUGH. oh well.

I think it is the nose or lips.

Haha yeah, well this is just one of two Arthur/Eames pieces that I'm doing for my friend for her birthday. I've done some doodles already that may get posted in my scraps eventually, but I'll probably be posting at least one more bit of fanart on here if I can ever decide what to draw. x3
