Wandering through the woodsCrepuscular rays pierce
I'm lost and found
No way in or out
No guide
I creep along weary and weak
Until I find something I did not seek
A fairy
Sparkling in the light
I don't trust my sight
Magic isn't real
Is it?
Maybe the magic's just dead in me
Snapping fingers with no result
Trying to catch a fairy
Through trees and drainage pipes
The smell of dog
But no guide home
Deeper in the woods I go
Chasing a tiny sparkle
A glimmer of hope
I hope
But the woods grow ever darker
And the fairy goes away
And then comes back
Like playing a game
To draw mortals away
And as I keep chasing
I realize
I've made a terrible mistake
But I know
I saw a fairy
