Memories, like waves, lap upon the mind time and time againSeashells and hermit crabs, love and loss, footprints in the sand
A moon's reflection in the water, and the floating haze of the past above
Mistakenly, we hear words whispered, only to realize its the chanting of the sea
Poseidon and mermaids live, as do dreams, figments that once were or still may be
Gulls go unnoticed, their caws the echoing of life, a random but constant affirmation
Castles built in day, now washed away at night with the coming of tide
