Thanks!

It is not pixel art, although it can get quite close to it. This is a digital doll. The easiest way to explain what digital dolls -- or simply "dolls" -- are is to think of paper dolls , but on a computer. We start with a base -- a naked humanoid form, follow the link in the artist's comments here -- and draw everything on top of it. It is also possible to draw everything from scratch as well. In terms of shading, it can be done in any way the artist -- or doller -- sees fit: you can use pixel art techniques or you can colour it with brushes and other effects. Some dollers refer to the latter as "miniature digital paintings". Dolls tend to be quite small, but they can be as big as the doller wants. In fact, I'm guilty of bending this rule way too often.

You have no idea what you've done. I can spend hours talking about this show

Águila Roja (English: Red Eagle) is a Spanish TV show set on 17th century Spain. They got the King and Queen right, but that's all. It's not a historical show, but one of adventure and drama with some comedy thrown in as well. It's the story of Gonzalo de Montalvo, a school master, whose wife is killed in the first episode for no apparent reason. Don't worry, her death is what triggers everything, not a spoiler. He starts looking for answers as to why an innocent woman would have been tortured and killed and finds out about a series of plots that involve the King and Church. In order to gather that information, he disguises himself as Águila Roja, a superhero/ninja (yeah, you read that right) who seeks revenge in the name of his wife. Through the story the audience finds out that this guy is much more than a mere teacher and that his origins may not be as clear or humble as we think they are. The show can be watched for free at RTVE's site (the channel responsible for it) although it's only available in Spanish. Some Youtube channels have added English subtitles to some episodes, but I don't know of any place where you can watch the whole series with them or dubbed into English. Here's a trailer with English subtitles , and you can also watch the show's first episode with English subtitles in that same channel. Just make sure to activate them, though. Also, it's been divided into several 10 min videos. Maybe a Google search may find you more videos.

Among all the characters, Lucrecia is one of the most famous ones. She used to be a peasant or servant that managed to flee from home and marry the Marquis of Santillana. She is constantly involved in plots for and against the King, has a soft spot for Gonzalo -- she spends the whole first season trying to woo him -- and has a pretty complicated relationship with Hernán Mejías, el Comisario (the sheriff), who is Águila Roja's nemesis.

Well holy hot damn. LOL.

It sounds like a great show with lots of twists and turns. And I'm sure the costumes are wonderful too.
I'll definitely look into the trailer.

Thanks for the info!!
