Personally, I like Azura as a mermaid, kinda matches with the water and...stuff. Anyways, narrative time!
The mermaid Azura was swimming in the sea, a normal day for a mermaid (Probably). While on a casual swim, she spots a boy out at sea floating on a piece of board, with a very unique outfit. She comes to the boy's rescue, pulling him to shore. The boy turns out to be unconscious. Azura lies down with him in her arms against a rock alongside her companion, a Popplio named Reese. She kisses him on the head and strokes his cheek, hoping he'll live.
This kind of reminds me of that one part in Gaiden/Shadows Of Valentia with Zeke and Tatiana, where Tatiana helps Zeke recover when she found him washed ashore in Rigel. I really do like Zeke though, he kind of reminds me of someone from the first Fire Emblem...
