NOTE: Name meanings mean nothing here. I just kinda picked the names up when I was in middle school without paying attention to them, so ignore the stupidity of them.
With the ending of Naruto causing me to get back into it, I've been really wallowing in nostalgia, including my old, shitty OCs that I created when I was 11-12. So, I've been redrawing them and rewriting the old fanfiction (for mine and my fiance's eyes only, sorry not sorry; you wouldn't want to read it anyway), and this here is my second OC, Sunako!
I created her not long after Hikari, probably sometime after Christmas in sixth grade. This was back when Hikari was still 12-13, so Sunako was originally meant to be Hikari's teacher. I didn't know who to ship her with and considered Kakashi, but wasn't very into him. I wasn't very far into the series, so I went with Iruka cos, hey, he's a cutie, but as time passed and I fell in love with Gai, I knew Sunako was the one for him! (Especially considering I was shipping her student, Haruka, with Lee )
Her limbs got so fucked up somehow and look really uneven. Also, her expression didn't come out right, she's supposed to look more frustrated and less docile.

Bio: Sunako is the first born of a set of triplets. Her mother died during childbirth, so Sunako tried to take on a motherly role in her brother and sister's lives when they were younger. Their father was somewhat distant with them; he wasn't cruel, he just had trouble interacting them after losing his wife like that. When he died in combat, her brother, Oda, became super protective of her and her sister, in the typical, comedic role.
Sunako was close friends with Gai as a child, and developed a crush on him pretty early on, though she couldn't bring herself to confess to him. When they became genin, they weren't able to see each other very much, but she never got over her crush. While she's typically very calm, when asked about him by Hikari, she tends to gush and get overly excited.
Her instructor was Hikari's mother, Kasumi, and as an adult, she still visited her family quite a bit. This is how she became friends with Hikari. Sunako is a bit of a stick in the mud- her calm nature causes her to be pretty boring, and though she's desperate to prove that she's actually a fun person, she usually fails at that. Hikari makes it her personal mission to make Sunako a more fun person. She is the instructor of Haruka's team, and Haruka often wishes Hikari could be more like her.
