One Last Night

Team 7 was on a mission as usual. Sasuke had long since left the sound after his quick visit, and Naruto was his usual goofy self. It was the second night of the mission and Sasuke was lying on the futon and Naruto sitting next to him. Sasuke finally broke the silence by saying, "Naruto, can you keep a seceret??" "Yeah," Naruto said."why??" "I've decided to go back to the Sound," he told them. "What?! Butbutbut-- the village needs you, our team needs you, I need you," Naruto said, tears spilling down his face. "Why do you need me?" Sasuke asked. "I-I don't know how you'll take this, but...I love you. Not like brotherly love, though. I love you more than that!! Please, don't leave me, don't,"Naruto choked through his sobs. He broke down and sobbed harder than hard. "Naruto.."Sasuke murmured softly. He took his head and placed on his lap, as he stroked his blonde spikes."Shhh, you'll be okay." Naruto's crying got softer. "Don't worry, Naruto. I love you, too,"Sasuke whispered into his hair."I love you, too.

It was late that evening.
Naruto tried to follow the rythm of Sasuke's lips.
But, after each kiss, Naruto got better and better. Sasuke had gently laid down on the futon as Naruto placed himself by his side. "Please, never leave me,"he murmered. "Please."

Early the next morning, Sakura walked to the room where Naruto and Sasuke were sleeping.
She opened the door, and was shocked at what she saw. Tears sprung from her eyes out of happiness and sadness. The sadness tears were out of her losing the one that she loved. The happiness was out of her knowing Naruto would never be alone again.*
