Description
This is Strawberry Flo's official debut! She is my first OC, and my absolute darling. I've been working on her for quite some time, but I finally pulled together a reference sheet. The drawings are by me and the vector work is by my fabulously talented mother. It was a really fun collaboration, she is one of my absolute favorite people. <3

About Flo: A lot of thought went into her design. She is inspired by a strawberry float (like a root beer float but with strawberry soda), pony designs merge so well with food. The forms are meant to be elegant but also suggestive of her inspiration. The freckles hint at fizz and the round tail reminds one of ice cream scoops. I really wanted to incorporate red and white stripes without being obnoxious, which ended up as a bendy straw tucked behind her ear. Her cutie mark is arranged similar to the mane six's, linking her design with official pony canon. She is the waitress and owner of the Bendy Straw Diner, which was a great way to incorporate that slick 1950's style (which also factors into her hairdo).
