I made a paladin and was really inspired by how vaard.tumblr.com/ draws Tauren. (Check them out!)Wichapi (no surname yet) is a mature, calm, and hopeful Sunwalker.
I asked my mother for help when it came to Tauren cultural inspiration so she lent me this book on how Native Americans used herbs in the 19th century. In it were photos of preparing braids of rice, and other herbs were braided as well - so I wanted to draw this sunny scene of Wichapi and some others sitting around with the gathered harvest.
It was also a personal piece in the sense that I haven't really been drawing digitally for almost 5 months and I wanted to get back in the rut somehow. Also a good way to practice making backgrounds, and while I'm not 100% pleased I'm definitely happy about the progress from essentially no background at all.
It was done it Clip Studio Paint, mostly using my fav brush "Paint and Apply". And lots of BLUR BLUR BLUR. While watching Markiplier play through Resident Evil 7 (which gave me really weird dreams).
I will be getting to owed art shortly too - is just hard, ya feel?
