Sans is actually right, he has mysteriously passed out before! Gaster never did figure out what caused it...
Sans is also pretty freaked out about this but he doesn't want to make Papyrus any more scared or worried than he is so he's trying to play it off. Everything's always a joke to you, Sans!
Yup, as long as Papyrus is around, he's got nothing to worry about...

Sans was asleep for 2 days? I was asleep for 2 days once... My 5 year old cousin (he was 2 at the time) kept me up for 48 hours straight one summer, and I slept for 2 whole days after that! My brother was worried about me too when he finally woke me up. He was crying so hard his cheeks looked like someone had replaced his eyes for waterfalls and his cheeks were the streams.
