Yeah, it represents her personally, it's a twisted shadow of her fox avatar.
The meta element of undertale is important to her enjoyment of the game and its messages.

Well it's quite the conundrum. Humans can't live without their souls, they can still exist as a soul but their body dies. It is never precised if the player is considered human, but we know for sure frisk/chara/the protagonist is human. So if they don't have a soul, since they borrow ours (if we're human), does that mean they're a monster ? Monsters can carry extra souls right ? So.. who takes damage when the soul gets hit ? Yeah i know that's a lot of questions and i'm basically fucking with you but thanks for reading

Eeeeh! So creepy, I love it! I like how it's the player's soul that corrupts Frisk rather than the unplayable Chara, it really plays with the point Toby tries to make that YOU make the choice to be a monster or not.
