not to be rude but...it's downright retarded to take that bet..seriously you just found out he's already dead let the poor guy rest in peace he may have family and friends on the ''otherside'' waiting for him he may have been super duper evil...or really in need of his final rest and you already know it's a trap..

I can understand Derpy liking him alot as her only friend but unless it's love at first sight I think they could be rushing into such a gamble for someone they barely now....but thats me in the pony world love and friendship flow alot more easily then in the evil human world >.<

You know, being the huge fan of ancient Egyptian mythology that I am; well, I'm sorry, Zaron, but making BAD guys of Osiris and Anubis; etc.; absolutely pisses me ALL the way off.
(I feel the same way about the "ancient spirits of evil" that Mumm-Ra used to summon in the Thundercats" series', as the only TRULY evil god in the Egyptian pantheon is Set/Seth.
Osiris, Horus, Anubis? They're all the Good Guys.)
Maybe you oughta bone up on your mythology before you do another comic like this.

Pretty sure the reapers just use the titles as a hierarchy. And I’m pretty sure reapers would definitely see themselves as the good guys in performing a vital function to maintaining the balance of all reality...

If it were as simple as "Shade evil," he wouldn't be trying to talk Luna out of this or expressing such frustration with not understanding what his boss is up to, a boss which is referred to as "the Osiris," as in a title, not the actual Egyptian god that'd just have it as their name. Likewise, just because Luna calls Shade "Anubis" doesn't mean that he's the actual god. One assumes someone with that kind of history would just introduce themselves as such unless being incognito was vital to their goals, which clearly isn't the case for the guy who wandered into town with a literal ghost circus.
I used Egyptian mythology as a building block in structuring the Reapers' hierarchy while informing some design decisions, but it's just one of many or there wouldn't be literal Grim Reaper clones and things like Aleya and Chir involved. The gods' roles can be used to figure out some of what's going on in said hierarchy, but your traditional Egyptian pantheon is safe from my grubby little mitts.

Well, that's essentially what he wants anyway whether "the bet" was accepted or not. (It's not like an attack wasn't already made. ^^) War would only be avoided if they let Lonely be taken. However, being understandably unwilling to let Lonely go, rather than simply declaring war, accepting the "terms" of any willingness to "fight" for him just means that in the event she actually succeed, it would be that much more of a burn against this king and the more he would likely admit defeat and relent rather than wage a continual war. So, nothing is lost. If Luna "fails," then the circumstances would essentially be the same had she simply declared war. She knows what she's doing.
