Description
The Qilin is a kind of Giraffid living on the Eastern Continent. They are very rare and live solitary, so they are not often encountered by humans. Also, they are very shy and tend to flee before they are seen. They are easily scared even by much smaller animals. Only if they have calfes and are not able to flee with them, they may attack other animals. Altough they are mostly solitary, they form monogamous pairs while caring for their calf
The mating rituals of the Qilin are very complex and consist of some kind of dance which involves fast shaking and nodding of the head

Qilins are strict herbivores which feed on leafes, but never eat grass or other plants from the ground.
