Silver's my top favorite. Personally, I like him better in Sonic 06 than in the Rivals games. In the rivals games, all the characters' logic was messed up. In 06 he had character development. He wanted to save his world, he realize he made a mistake, tried to fix it, lost a friend, and the thing that I've noticed but haven't seen others point out is that when everyone thought Sonic was "dead", Silver still refused to give up. He stepped up and became the leader. He gave everyone hope again. Now THAT is a good character!

I will admit, the round-house kick was pretty funny. But at the same time, it showed that Silver was determined not to fail. It was after Shadow showed him the truth he realized he made a mistake. So he got back up and did what he could to fix it.
Silver needs a second chance. A better game with a good story and good controls. A chance to show what he's made of!

You know the people that Silver reminds me of: Link and Hiccup. Link because he does whatever it takes to save the world and Hiccup because he's like an outcast character but has incredible potential to be someone special in his own way.
Although I think the reason why Silver hasn't been scrapped yet is because either he's popular enough where they can't or SEGA doesn't want to throw him away. After all, Sonic, Shadow, and Silver make a unique team and are the most popular team (at least that I've seen).

SEGA needs to know that they can also get more money by giving other characters more attention. That makes the game more challenging but also fun.

Well, there's the fanbase to consider, too. Except for those who have stood by Sonic and his friends over the years, it's a big mess. They'll demand something but when SEGA makes it they'll complain about it. They got at each other about which character is the best or why characters should be scraped. And don't get me started on the pairing wars.
I think the Sonic Dissected videos do a good job in keeping a non-bias way of observing the Sonic games.
As for me, I don't really hate any games, even Shadow the Hedgehog or Sonic Rivals. I don't hate any of the characters either. I mean, all characters have their place we just need to find it. Characters like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are meant to be playable. Characters like Cream and Big aren't necessarily good as main characters (except Sonic Heroes) but they can be good secondary characters or characters that make cameos in the games or give a comic relief element.

The only problem in finding that role. Sonic isn't too hard, he's the main protagonist so of course you have to use him. But giving him limits on what he can do so that his friends can have a moment in the spot light is the tricky part.

Sonic trio should be like 06, but then COMPLETELY different. All of the bullshit is replaced by the amazinges of Sonic generations and the heartwarming story of Unleashed. ( I really like that story no matter what ) a bit of cheesyness of Colors and the old school magic of the classic eras.

Hmm, I think you might be on to something. I will admit, there are things in Sonic Unleashed I liked in terms of story. Clever humor when called for would be great, and a little magic never hurts.
Sonic is like magic vs. science. Eggman is the science and Sonic is the magic. Think about it, Sonic uses the Chaos Emeralds and other forms of magic to fight while Eggman uses machines and robots to try and take over the world.

I agree. How can he stay so positive, despite everything he's been through? Well, then again, I'm an optimist, so I can somewhat understand. XD The whole food and water thing, I have no idea. Maybe there was some sort of large food cache that he found? As for air, I can probably explain that.
