Following the concept page I just posted, I thought I could do a bit of world building on Among the Waves... Just for fun

I wanted to make the elements different from what we usually see, with fire being too much for human beings.

I love it! Always enjoyed the elements being though of having
"personalites" among them like. Like even though fire is most the time referenced as a energy of life
and creation, its personality is "wild, out of control, does what it wants" it scorches and spreads without
control. I't burns and cooks anything even the catalysts that created it.
Like that direction your going with it.

It's so well known that the Dance of Fire is dangerous that it's probably entirely his own fault
Most elementalists are really good with all of the three other dances and they chose to master the first that worked for them.

People wouldn't mind if it was only dangerous for the elementalist, but it's pretty destructive for everything around so... yeah better not let people try it.

Dear god this is pretty. Air and water dances would be unbelievably cool for character movement studies. Earth for achieving a feel of mass/weight. Don't do the fire dance. It will just fuck you up.

There are many similarities with this and Exalted indeed!
The Dancing is less like a martial art and more like high fantasy magic however and people are not limited to one of them.

I created a whole world for this and I hope I will be able to tell the whole story someday.
My main inspirations for it are maybe the first World War and the Exalted RPG. But there are probably a lot more, since I've been working on this for a while now
The Elementalist are few so there are no nations based on the elements. They would be like mages in the common fantasy story, but in a beginning of the 20th century setting.
