I am not familiar with the character or the world this beast resides in, but regardless I can appreciate the mastery shown in the execution of this piece.
The draconian form is bursting with power and a savage godliness, enveloped in an atmosphere of fire. Everything fits in the composition; from the color coordination, to the application of light and shadow, to the use of space. Not too overbearing to look at while still giving the viewer something to notice wherever the eye takes on the image.
Very nicely done. Adding this one to my Favorites.

When I first heard about Deathwing years back while reading the lorebook that came with Warcraft 3 (it actually makes for a really good read), I was an instant fan.Β Evil, manipulative, twisted, highly intelligent...the perfect villain.Β I've been a fan of his since LOOOOONG before Cataclysm came out, so I was ecstatic when it was announced.
